We finally got to the Rochester Farmer's Market again this Saturday. They were also having a "Bake Sale" to fight hunger, so there were lot's of people, despite the extreme humidity.
Here's what I came home with:
I used the lettuce, zucchini and the corn in our dinner tonight and BW and I just had a little bit of that tiny Cherry pie with some vanilla ice cream. It was delicious. I'll be making the beets later this week.
I also got Joey some homemade doggy treats. I'm sure he will like them.
Hello, Lindalou. I always enjoy seeing what people bring home from the Farmer's Market...I could live w/o seeing the beets though:)
ReplyDeleteMy dad died on July 2. He is missed, but we're all doing okay.
I haven't blogged since May and need to get busy and post something, anything.
Hugs to you there in beautiful Michigan.

I must tell you about a recipe for beets if you have not cooked them yet. I baked them til soft and then peeled and sliced them and put them in the crock pot with garlic, olive oil, rosemary , s and p. So tasty!
ReplyDeleteHave yet to visit the summer farmer's markets here but do stop at the roadside stands on the way home from the lake. I love roasted beets ... have you tried them!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you do with the beets? I usually just end up juicing them. I love how they make everything pink!
